Custom templates provide flexibility while maintaining structure. They can be scoped for a single document, across a facility, or across your entire organization. CSV-based Custom Templates can also be validated to enforce data quality and ensure consistency.

How To:

  1. From the Document, click Add Template > Create New Template.

  2. Name your template.

  3. Select the scope:

    • Document – Only available in this specific document.

    • Facility – Reusable across all monitoring periods in the facility.

    • Organization – Reusable across all facilities in the organization.

  4. Upload your template file.

  5. (Optional) For CSV files, enable Enforce Schema to create a Validated Template.

    • 💡 Validated Templates prevent missing or incorrect data and ensure numeric values can be summed or averaged for LCAs.

Using Validated Templates

  1. Upload your CSV file with Enforce Schema turned on.

  2. Define rules for each column:

    • Data type (e.g., text, number, date)

    • Whether the column is required

  3. Upload evidence files — the platform will flag errors if they don’t match the schema.

Why use validated templates?

  • Prevents missing or incorrect data.

  • Ensures numeric values can be summed or averaged for LCAs.

  • Allows exporting validated data across facilities and monitoring periods into a single spreadsheet.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use Validated Templates for recurring numeric data to ensure data quality.

  • Reuse Facility- or Organization-level templates wherever possible to save time.
